About the opportunity
Part time, fixed term (0.8 EFT - 64 hours per fortnight) commencing 9 Feb 2026 - 6 Feb 2028
Rotational program across Wyndham and Hobson's Bay areas with opportunities to enhance skills in bed-based, residential / rehabilitation and community settings (potential for shift work in the second year)
Incorporates a thorough orientation, paid study days, structured training both internal and external, and discipline specific clinical supervision and reflective practice sessions
Supported to develop skills in providing high quality client-focused Social Work interventions to clients, their family and carers. This will be incorporated in a holistic, recovery oriented, strengths based and culturally sensitive approach in line with the organisational values
Be part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team, and provide highly responsive and flexible service to consumers and carers in a high-growth metropolitan mental health program

To thrive in this role, you will have:
Passionate about mental health
Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
Have full Australian working rights (must be able to work a minimum of 64 hours per fortnight)
Full driver’s licence (particularly for second year community rotation)
Approved degree in Social Work and current/pending registration with the AASW
Current Victorian Driver’s License
