Fitting Partner — Custom Clothing

Rivmont Atelier is looking for someone who understands that a great fitting experience is never just about the suit.
ABOUT RIVMONT ATELIER
We are a mobile custom tailoring service based in New York City. We go directly to our clients — at their homes, offices, or wherever they choose. From black tie to business, we dress people for the moments that matter. What we offer is not just a garment. It is an experience that clients return to — and refer others to.
THE ROLE
As a Fitting Partner, you are the first point of contact in that experience. You conduct on-site consultations, guide clients through fabric and style selections, collect measurements, and submit order details to the atelier. We handle all production, invoicing, and delivery.
This is an independent contractor role with full schedule flexibility. It is well-suited to professionals who want to build a meaningful client practice alongside their existing commitments — and grow it at their own pace.
COMPENSATION
Most custom clothing roles tie commission to monthly quotas. At Rivmont, 10% is guaranteed from your first order — no quotas, no minimums. Commission increases to 20%, then 40% as your practice grows. At full rate, a single suit earns you $400–$560.
· First 3 orders: 10%
· Through $5,000 in cumulative sales: 20%
· After $5,000: 40%
WHAT WE PROVIDE
· Fitting toolkit — provided at no cost before your first appointment
· Hands-on training and onboarding support
· Client lead connections through the Rivmont app, website, and social media
· All production, invoicing, and fulfillment handled by the atelier
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We value experience in fitting, luxury retail, or client-facing service — though it is not required. What matters most is a genuine eye for style, the ability to make clients feel at ease, and a standard of professionalism that matches the clientele we serve. A passion for menswear and the craft behind it goes a long way.
