Job Description
Trellis Centennial is seeking a collaborative and resourceful Medical Records Assistant who is organized, self-motivated, and solution-focused to join our team!
Purpose: To ensure the privacy and integrity of our residents’ medical records.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Record and process patient medical information.
• Understand the rights and privacy laws surrounding medical files,
• Issuing medical files to persons and agencies according to laws and regulations.
• Helping with departmental audits and investigations.
• Distributing medical charts to the appropriate departments of the hospital.
• Maintaining quality and accurate records by following hospital procedures.
• Ensuring patient charts, paperwork, and reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensuring that all medical records are protected and kept confidential.
• Filing all patients’ medical records and information.
• Supplying the nursing department with the appropriate documents and forms.
• Completing clerical duties, including answering phones, responding to emails, and processing patient admission and discharge records.
• Other relevant duties as assigned
Physical Capacities: (With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices)
• Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
• Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility
• Must be able to stand for and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to lift over 25 pounds with assistance.
• Frequent pushing and pulling of carts, picking up boxes, etc
• Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
Environmental Conditions: Inside work, normal inside temperatures, some noise, work- related fumes/odors, possible exposure to bodily fluids, possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Ability to Relocate:
• Las Vegas, NV 8+14+: Relocate before starting work (Required)
