We are seeking a skilled and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team at Birkenhead Medical Centre. This full-time role is an integral part of our busy and fast-paced Medical Centre, providing exceptional front-desk support and patient coordination. If you thrive in a high-energy environment and enjoy working with a dedicated team to deliver outstanding patient care, this role is a great fit for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
Welcoming and greeting patients in a friendly and professional manner
Scheduling and managing patient appointments to ensure efficient flow
Answering phones and redirecting calls appropriately
Patient enrolment and registration
Maintaining up-to-date patient records and data entry
Invoicing and processing Payments
Coordinating with the medical team to ensure a seamless patient experience
Addressing patient Concerns and resolving issues promptly
Adhering to regulations including patient privacy and data security
Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing and photocopying
What We’re Looking For
Customer Service Skills - Ability to provide friendly and efficient service to patients, addressing their needs and concerns
Organisational Skills - Strong ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively in a busy environment
Problem Solving Skills - Handle patient inquiries and issues effectively and calmly.
Attention to Detail - Accuracy in scheduling appointments, managing patients' records, and processing billing information accurately.
Team player
Good communication skills

We are a North Shore General Practice located in Birkenhead. Our team consists of 6 GP's, 6 Nurses, 4 Receptionists, and a full-time Practice Manager. We offer a very busy, fast-paced, fun, and supportive work environment with onsite parking available.
