Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate MRT or CLXT to join our diagnostic imaging clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care and efficient clinic operations.
Duties
Operate various diagnostic imaging equipment such as X-ray and Fluoroscopy to produce high-quality images
Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety
Position patients correctly to obtain optimal images while minimizing exposure to radiation
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of procedures performed
Adhere to all safety protocols and radiation protection guidelines to safeguard patients and staff
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to interpret images and provide relevant information for diagnosis
Perform routine maintenance and quality assurance checks on imaging equipment
Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited MRT or CLXT program
Active registration and good standing with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) or Alberta College of Combined Lab and X-Ray Technologists (ACCLXT)
Current FIrst Aid/BLS certification is an asset
Previous experience in a diagnostic imaging clinic is preferred
Willingness to cross train in fluoroscopy/pain management
Strong understanding of radiation safety and patient care standards
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient clinic environment
This role is integral to delivering quality diagnostic services within our healthcare facility, supporting accurate patient diagnoses, and contributing to overall patient well-being.

Pay: $30.48-$57.86 per hour
