Job Summary
The Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is currently looking for a dedicated Medical Office Assistant Manager to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring seamless patient care and efficient administrative operations within the outpatient setting.
Main Responsibilities:
Work closely with the center manager to coordinate patient appointments and reduce cancellations
Efficiently register patient information, documenting it accurately in the electronic medical record
Process patient insurance verifications, securing necessary authorizations, and clearly explaining benefits and financial commitments
Collect patient payments for each visit
Implement effective document management through scanning and secure storage
Conduct daily charge reconciliations for clean claim submissions
Offer prompt assistance to patients and internal stakeholders
Oversee office supply management and handle incoming correspondence
Necessary Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory
Customer service experience and knowledge of insurance verification procedures are highly desirable
