Responsibilities
Undertake comprehensive case management for medical malpractice lawsuits, which includes organizing and maintaining case files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with attorneys and clients
Conduct in-depth legal research to support case development and legal strategies
Review, organize, and manage a vast array of documents related to medical malpractice cases, including medical records, expert reports, and other relevant case materials
Assist in drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
Coordinate and manage expert witnesses, including arranging for depositions and trial testimony
Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including preparing trial exhibits and witness lists
Keep clients informed on case progress and respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Remain up-to-date with changes in medical malpractice law and regulations

Qualifications
• A bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field is required. Certification as a paralegal is preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in medical malpractice.
• Proficient in document and case management software.
• In-depth knowledge of medical malpractice law and legal procedures.
• Exceptional legal research skills, with a proven ability to understand complex medical and legal information.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and legal research software.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
