Position Summary:
We are currently hiring Certified Medical Assistants for our School Based Health Care Center working closely with Middle/High school students.

Minimum Qualifications:
Certification as a Medical Assistant required.
Candidates with previous experience in a health care or school based setting strongly preferred.
Previous experience working with children and adolescents, a strong plus.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Bilingual Spanish/English required.
Knowledge of taking vital signs, phlebotomy, and medical administration tasks.
Key Duties:
Process blood draws and administers PPDs when required. Collects specimens for laboratory testing.
Prepare examination rooms and equipment.
Participates in health and wellness activities and health education when required.
Obtain vital signs, chief complaints, and medical history and accurately records in medical records.
Completes referrals and discharges patients.
Assists providers and nurses during all aspects of exams.
Assist provider during visit with treatments, examinations, and procedures.
Schedules appointments, verifies insurance and demographic information.
Processes diagnostic orders.
Starting Compensation: Minimum: $21.00/hour ($43,680 annually); Maximum: $21.00/hour ($43,680 annually)
