NextCare Urgent Care is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Medical Assistant / Patient Service Specialist (Medical Front Office Receptionist) that likes the challenge of a fast pace setting and working in a team environment
Education: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; and/ or a medical assistant diploma from an accredited organization, if unaccredited, a medical assistant diploma and national certification from the AAMA, AMT or NHA

The Medical Assistant / Patient Service Specialist (Medical Front Office Receptionist) is a dual role of being the first point of contact for patients in the clinic while supporting front office functions, as well as caring for patients in a Medical Assistant capacity while supporting back office functions
The Patient Service Specialist keeps patients and families informed of wait times, monitors the flow of patients, processes patients for discharge including preparing charges, collecting payment, obtaining all necessary signatures and issuing receipts
The Medical Assistant performs patient care duties under the Medical Assistant scope of practice in the urgent care setting
The Medical Assistant / Patient Service Specialist (Medical Front Office Receptionist) supports the organization with customer service and treating all of our patients with respect and dignity
They ensure the clinic and front reception area is running smoothly and patient flow at the optimum, as well as provide patient care services in the back office medical setting, which will meet the specific needs of the patient

To join our team in Phoenix, Az at our facility located at 3850 West Greenway Road, Suite 150 Phoenix, AZ 85053 off of 3+th Ave and Greenway Rd.

The clinic hours for this facility are Monday - Sunday 8:00a.m. to 8:00p.m. The work schedule will require working 12 hour shifts which include nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant / Patient Service Specialist (Medical Front Office Receptionist) is a dual role of being the first point of contact for patients in the clinic while supporting front office functions, as well as caring for patients in a Medical Assistant capacity while supporting back office functions.
