Opening: Mechanical Maintenance Technician in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a prominent medical device manufacturing company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Education
Job Description and Qualifications
• Technical Diploma/Degree: In Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Experience
• Industry Experience: Several years of experience as a mechanic or maintenance technician, preferably in an industrial or medical device setting.
• Supervisory Experience: Experience in a supervisory or managerial role is advantageous.
• Local Experience: Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is beneficial.
Skills And Competencies
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in maintenance tasks to ensure machinery operates safely and effectively.
• Project Management: Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple maintenance projects.
• Communication: Effective communication skills in English, with the ability to write clear reports.
• Computer Literacy: Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and relevant software.
Job Responsibilities
Maintenance Planning and Execution:
• Maintenance Schedules: Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure machinery operates efficiently.
• Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
• Preventive Maintenance: Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures.
Team Supervision
• Supervision: Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and training.
• Work Allocation: Assign and oversee maintenance tasks to ensure timely completion.
Compliance And Documentation
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all maintenance work complies with local and international regulations.
• Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including logs and inspection reports.
Equipment Management
• Calibration and Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated and maintained for accuracy.
• Inventory Management: Manage spare parts and maintenance supplies to ensure availability.
Additional Requirements
• Safety Awareness: Strong knowledge of safety protocols specific to the medical device industry.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required.
• Cultural Awareness: Sensitivity to local customs and business practices in Saudi Arabia is beneficial.
