As our Maintenance Team in Operations within the Industrial Gases in the UK and Ireland continues to grow, we would like to welcome a Field Mechanical Technician.
About The Team
You will be joining the maintenance team of field engineers and technicians working across UK and Ireland.

As The Field Mechanical Technician, You Will
• Ensure that planned maintenance programmes and all repair and overhaul work is carried out fully and effectively, within budget and paying the fullest possible regard to the inter-relation of maintenance requirements with production programmes.
• Ensure that the work of all maintenance personnel assigned (including contractors and vendors) is adequately planned and supervised and maintained at a high level of effectiveness.
• Carry out plant modification to central design specification, submit any self generated design changes to specialist engineers for approval before implementation. Generate scope, cost and obtain EAR approval. Supervise projects to commissioning and budget.
• Continually review and update the technical content of the preventive maintenance procedures and to recommend changes where improvements in safety, quality or economy may be effected.
• You also be familiar with the various SAP transactions necessary to fulfil the requirements of his role and be able to write EMRs to the required standards.
As the Field Mechanical Technician, you already are or have:
• Level 3 external qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Completion of recognised mechanical apprenticeship or proven skills in this area.
• Problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal & team working skills is crucial to working in a small team size.
• Strong safety mindset and focus on operating practices.
• Good communication and customer facing skills
• Proactive and self-motivated with a positive attitude to deliver results.
• Computer skills
• Driver’s licence
