Mechanical Engineer/Plumber - Hammersmith

My client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer/Plumber to join their team based in Hammersmith on a minimum 3-month contract.

The role requires a highly skilled professional with a minimum of five years’ experience in plumbing, capable of delivering high-quality mechanical and plumbing engineering/maintenance services.

PPMs reactive, maintenance and installation etc.

The successful candidate must hold an L8 qualification and demonstrate strong technical knowledge and practical expertise in plumbing systems.

This position offers a competitive rate of £44 per hour (umbrella) or £33.33 per hour PAYE + holiday pay.

The role involves working closely with teams to ensure plumbing installations and maintenance meet all relevant standards and specifications, with a focus on safety, compliance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver mechanical and plumbing engineering/maintenance tasks in line with requirements
Install, maintain, and inspect plumbing systems ensuring compliance with regulations
Ensure all work adheres to health and safety standards and quality controls
Maintain accurate documentation and report progress to management
Support commissioning and testing of plumbing installations

Skills
L8 qualification (mandatory)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in plumbing
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and mechanical engineering principles
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Time management and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and under pressure
