Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
5-10 years of mechanical design experience
3+ years of experience with SolidWorks, or equivalent proficiency in other 3D CAD modeling systems
In-depth understanding of structural design principles
Solid practical experience with machinery product design, verification, and validation processes
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interface with multiple departments

Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to provide design and engineering support in the manufacturing process
This role will involve designing new mechanical systems and subsystems, troubleshooting, and collaborating across teams to ensure the development of high-quality products
Design and implement mechanical systems and subsystems in line with approved specifications
Collaborate in the creation of product requirements, specifications, and project timelines
Conduct feasibility studies to assess the functionality and reliability of designs
Troubleshoot design issues alongside cross-functional teams
Work closely with the project management team to ensure design timelines are met, suggesting improvements and resolving design-related challenges
Evaluate and recommend necessary design changes and updates to specifications
Coordinate and/or supervise the product design, verification, and validation process with both internal and external teams to achieve product milestones
Maintain comprehensive documentation throughout all stages of the design, including verification and validation phases
Lead and actively participate in technical design reviews
Produce detailed design work, including drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks
Conduct structural analysis as required using SolidWorks Simulation
Prepare and review specifications, data sheets, and technical drawings
Evaluate vendor proposals and drawings to ensure alignment with design requirements
Job description
