Job Summary
A key role within Aberdeen City Council's Fleet Service, responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing vehicles, plant and equipment. The successful candidate will work independently and effectively communicate with management and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, maintain and repair vehicles, plant and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Work on own initiative and communicate effectively with the management team and customers.
Join the out of hours on-call breakdown rota as required.
Occasionally work outside normal working hours and in all weather conditions.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
A minimum of City and Guilds Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance (+302) or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering.
A full UK driving license.
Possession of a Category C (HGV) license and relevant CPC or willingness to obtain.
