Responsibilities
We are currently seeking an Accounting Specialist that supports accounting operations and financial reporting activities by analysis, reconciliations, month-end close support, and maintenance of accurate financial records
This role serves as a key contributor to the accuracy and efficiency of the accounting function
Process and maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions
Prepare and post routine journal entries and perform account reconciliations
Support month-end close activities and financial reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Monitor, investigate and resolve discrepancies related to invoices, payments, account balances, and financial results
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
Assist with variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and other financial planning activities
Assist with audit preparation by gathering documentation and responding to requests
Support compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standards
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information
Analyze financial results and identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement

Opportunity

Qualifications
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 2–4 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
• Working knowledge of accounting principles, and month-end close processes
• Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, or monthly financial reports preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in a professional services environment
• Ability to independently manage assigned accounting processes
• Experience supporting month-end close processes
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or variance analysis
• Experience preparing or reviewing monthly financial statements and reports
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and recommend solutions
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems
