Job Description
We are currently working with a leading M&E contractor with a turnover of circa £400m and a strong international presence delivering flagship schemes for leading main contractors across sectors who require a logistics manager to join their team on a very notable £+0m M&E commercial scheme in Central London. The scheme is just about to start and as logistics manager you will join a talented team for the duration of the 3 years scheme to PC.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Liaising and assisting the logistics manager to coordinate the logistics operations on site
• Deputising for the logistics manager during periods of rotation
• Supervising and coordinating logistics labor on site to include but not limited to; maintaining roadways & walkways, coordination with all trade partners, lifting operations as required, Cleaning activities and traffic marshalling activities
• Managing company plant and assets onsite
• Maintaining provisions of materials and consumables for site use
• Attendance to DABS and Coordination meetings representing Dornan
• Ensuring safe & correct handling of all materials
• Managing deliveries, coordination of deliveries via the online system
• Managing lifting, coordination of lifting via the online system
• Markup of DWGs each week to highlight safety systems, access/egress and evolution of site
Experience Required:
• 8+ years experience in a similar role
• Experience receiving goods and documentation
• Excellent IT skills and communication skills
