Role Overview…
We at G Force Martial Arts are excited to be recruiting our next Martial Arts instructor to join our BRAND NEW Martial Arts school in Guildford, opening in September 2026!
We are seeking an exceptional Martial Artist to lead the classes.
We are looking for someone who has proven experience in delivering fitness training, is able to teach people of all ages, and has experience in and/or would be open to learning how to teach Martial Arts through our curriculum.
In addition to these evenings, instructors are required to support weekend gradings, skills workshops, key promotional or community events, and attend instructor development training. Flexibility beyond the core timetable is a required part of the role.
Many instructors increase their hours and earning potential over time through additional classes, holiday cover at other local venue, workshops and leadership responsibilities.
This is best suited to candidates who:
Live within 30 minutes of the location they are applying for
Can drive to classes and events
Have the required martial arts training (minimum 6 months in a striking art)
Have the required coaching or teaching experience (minimum 1 year experience in martial arts teaching, personal training, fitness instruction, or similar)
This role is ideal for someone who:
Has trained in kickboxing, karate, taekwondo, or a similar striking martial art
Has experience coaching, teaching, or delivering fitness instruction
Is confident working with both children and adults
Is reliable and able to commit to required training and additional sessions
Wants to develop professionally within a structured Martial Arts organisation
You do not need to be a black belt.
You do need to be coachable, professional, and confident instructing and leading sessions.
About G Force Martial Arts
Our curriculum has been developed over 20 years by Sensei Gordon Burcham, 3x World Kickboxing Champion, who continues to oversee his 600-student Martial Arts school in Rugby, alongside multiple national locations through the G Force partnership programme. We operate structured systems, defined instructor standards, and a consistent curriculum across all sites. All of our locations are fully supported by our dedicated member management and business support team at our HQ in Rugby, Warwickshire.
Training & Development
All instructors complete our structured 12-module Instructor Development Programme.
You will receive:

We invest heavily in instructors who want to grow long term within Martial Arts. Initial instructor training and occasional ongoing development is delivered at our HQ in Rugby.
Your Responsibilities
You must be fully capable of leading structured classes independently, or trained to this level in a short time after the start of your employment.
You will be required to:
Lead classes when scheduled
Support within sessions as part of the coaching team
Deliver our curriculum to a consistent, professional standard
Confidently demonstrate and instruct techniques
Maintain discipline, engagement, and energy within sessions
Represent the G Force brand positively
Support all required gradings and key events
Assist with basic member administration and marketing functions
Every instructor must be ready to take full responsibility for a class when required.
What We Require
Minimum 6 months training in a striking martial art
Experience in martial arts teaching, personal training, fitness instruction, or similar (1 year minimum)
Confidence instructing or supporting group sessions
Professional communication and presentation
Ability to follow structured processes
Availability for 2 fixed weekday evenings per week for the core teaching hours
Willing to commit to regular timetabled classes as agreed upon employment
Willing to attend an initial one-week intensive training at G Force HQ in Rugby, Warwickshire
Commitment to support quarterly weekend gradings and occasional events
Driving licence and access to transport (required due to the potential to transport equipment)
Enhanced DBS (required upon appointment)

Successful candidates will be invited to follow up interviews held in person at a local G Force training venue (expected to take place August 2026).
Employment for this position may be on a self employed or PAYE basis, with all standard legal contractual agreements in place. G Force Global is recruiting on behalf of and in partnership with G Force Guildford.
