We are looking for Vessel Accountant Candidate - Andheri (Mumbai Location)

Candidates with Minimum 3 to 10 years experience as Vessel Accounting profile in ship management companies can apply.

Job Objectives:
• Perform all accounting activities for the vessels including bank entries
• Perform monthly book close and various account reconciliations for assigned vessels under management Generate and analyze vessel financial reports on a monthly basis
• Submit funding requests and manage cashflow for the vessel account.

Work Activities:
• General accounting activities for vessel accounts
• Vessel Financial Reporting & Budget variance Analysis for entity accounts
• Assist in vessel budgets compilation and entering in Accounting software
• Accounts payable ledger maintenance
• Liaise with purchasing, technical & crewing team for financial inputs.
• Assist in maintenance & development issues related to Accounting software
• Submission of monthly funds requests to vessel owners for budgeted and unbudgeted expenses
• Supervise the vessel accounting/invoice team and ensure related processes are running well
• Ensuring adherence to group accounting and controlling guidelines
• PDA/FDA reconciliation with relevant documents and AP invoice processing
• Assisting in financial & internal audits
• General knowledge related to corporate accounting matters and assist when required
• Should have knowledge about portage bills and bank reconcillation, monthly reporting and vessel checklist items

Required qualifications:
• University education in accounting, finance or business
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in ship management company
• Good analytical & interpersonal skills
• Good command of verbal & written English
