Our Marketing Representative has an eye for creative detail and a strong understanding of how brand, product promotion, and customer communications support business success. With a collaborative approach and a passion for building engaging marketing materials, they help promote Tolko products and services across our sales channels. We’re looking for a Marketing Representative to join our Sales, Marketing and Logistics team, located in Vernon, British Columbia. Our head office houses Tolko’s corporate services groups including Sales, Marketing & Logistics, Finance, Accounting & Credit, IT, Procurement and Human Resources.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
3 to 5 years’ experience in a marketing-related role.
A bachelor’s degree in marketing or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Experience designing with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
Proven ability to creatively solve problems, work collaboratively, make sound independent decisions and seek approval when appropriate.
Strong creative design, copywriting, research, analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to design and execute product marketing and promotional plans within budget.
MailChimp or other email marketing software is an asset.
Experience planning and coordinating events (ie. Tradeshow participation) is an asset.
Experience editing and creating web pages in WordPress, or similar, is an asset.
Familiarity with guerrilla marketing, product promotions, digital marketing and in-house projects is an asset.

Develop and execute product branding strategies that support the promotion of Tolko’s lumber, plywood, OSB, and EWP product sectors.
Create and coordinate marketing materials including brochures, warranties, technical sheets, product samples, presentations, customer packages and tradeshow resources.
