We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive
Manual QA Engineer & Scrum Master
who can take ownership of both software quality and Agile delivery coordination.
This is a hybrid role requiring hands-on manual testing, Jira management, sprint coordination, documentation, Excel-based reporting and regular collaboration with developers, designers, product stakeholders and clients.
Key ResponsibilitiesManual Quality Assurance
• Review business requirements, product specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Prepare test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, test cases, checklists and requirement traceability matrices.
• Perform functional, integration, system, exploratory, regression, smoke, sanity and usability testing.
• Test responsive web applications across browsers, devices and screen sizes.
• Validate APIs using Postman, Swagger or similar tools.
• Perform basic database validation using SQL queries.
• Identify, document and track defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, logs and supporting evidence.
• Assign appropriate defect severity and priority in coordination with the product and development teams.
• Retest resolved defects and conduct regression testing before release.
• Validate UI implementation against approved Figma designs and product requirements.
• Support user acceptance testing and production-release verification.
• Maintain test-execution reports, defect summaries and release-readiness reports.
• Monitor defect leakage and support root-cause analysis for production issues.
• Ensure releases meet the agreed acceptance criteria and definition of done
Scrum and Agile Delivery
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, product demonstrations and retrospectives.
• Coordinate closely with the Product Owner, developers, designers and other stakeholders.
• Ensure that user stories have clear descriptions, acceptance criteria, estimates, priorities and ownership.
• Maintain accurate Jira boards, including epics, stories, tasks, subtasks, bugs and sprint statuses.
• Track team capacity, velocity, sprint progress, burndown, blockers and unfinished work.
• Identify delivery risks and escalate blockers before they affect timelines.
• Follow up on action items and ensure that agreed tasks are completed.
• Support the Product Owner in maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog.
• Coordinate QA activities, release timelines, client feedback and sprint demonstrations.
• Prepare and circulate meeting minutes, sprint summaries, risk reports and status updates.
• Help the team follow Scrum principles while adapting processes to project and client requirements.
• Promote transparency, ownership, continuous improvement and timely communication.
• Prevent uncontrolled scope changes during an active sprint and ensure new requirements are properly documented.
• Help establish and monitor the definition of ready and definition of done.
Excel, Reporting and Documentation
Maintain test-case repositories, defect trackers, sprint trackers and release checklists.
Prepare weekly and monthly project reports using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
Use formulas, filters, data validation, conditional formatting, lookup functions and pivot tables.
Create QA dashboards covering test progress, pass/fail status, defect trends and release readiness.
Prepare Agile reports covering sprint velocity, spillovers, blockers, capacity and delivery status.
Maintain project documentation in Confluence, Google Workspace or equivalent platforms.
Ensure meeting notes, decisions, risks and action items are documented and traceable.
Required Skills
• 1–3 years of relevant experience
in Manual QA, software testing, Scrum coordination or Agile project delivery.
• Strong understanding of
SDLC, STLC, Agile and Scrum methodologies
.
• Hands-on experience writing test cases, test scenarios and defect reports.
• Strong understanding of the defect life cycle, severity and priority.
