Responsibilites: Drive the creation of innovative battery pack designs, from initial idea generation to development and prototyping. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform concepts into viable product designs. Utilize 3D modeling software to create detailed models of advanced battery components and assemblies. Ensure precision and accuracy in modeling for manufacturing and assembly. Lead battery pack design activities, including component spacing and accommodation calculations. Apply hands-on knowledge to optimize battery packaging and perform series/parallel calculations for battery sizing. Engage in practical prototyping and conduct comprehensive battery testing to validate design concepts and performance. Analyze test results and recommend design refinements. Review and recommend specifications related to dimensions, functionality, efficiency, and manufacturing processes to ensure product excellence. Provide basic 2D release and assembly drawings support for prototyping activities, ensuring accurate representation of design intent. Job Specifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field. At least 5 years of experience in mechanical and thermal engineering, with a focus on simulation. Strong understanding of GDT for Design approval for mass production. Strong understanding of mechanical principles and their application in real-world systems. Proficiency in simulation tools such as ANSYS, SolidWorks, and Matlab. Experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks. Strong analytical skills and attention to details. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience in the automotive industry is a plus. Key Competencies Required for the Role Leadership competencies: Collaboration People Leadership Strategic Thinking Critical Thinking Process Orientation Result Driven Communication Manage Change Customer Orientation Critical Functional competencies: Mechanical Design: Proficiency in using CAD software and related tools for mechanical design, ensuring compatibility with EV component specifications.
