An exciting opportunity for a working professional holding 6-8 years of experience in commodities (metals & cement) industry research with sound analytical grounding and solid understanding of key risks for different companies and industries. Good communication, presentation skills, and a proven track record in executing analysis on large corporate is a must.

Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of 2-4 Analysts / Senior Analysts in the Metals domain involved in delivering industry specific insights and reports on a day-to-day basis
• Develop new products (reports) in the metals domain on prevalent topics which will address the concerns of all the stakeholders involved (Manufacturers, bankers, miners etc)
• Support Director and Associate Director for Business Development of the products executed by the commodities team
• Ability to promptly assess sector level changes and trends and understanding of inter-linkages with the macro economy
• Ability to predict sector developments and foresee changes /issues impacting the industry
• Analyse industry dynamics from all relevant angles (demand-supply, price movement, profitability, changing regulatory and competitive landscape)
• Demand forecasting models based on qualitative and, when appropriate, statistical analysis
• Flair to get market intelligence and skill to sense business and commercial insights
• Ability to form hypothesis, validate assumptions, test based on data gathered and write a cogent and logical report
• Author and publish articles to showcase thought-leadership and build franchise for the business
• Support to Senior Manager/Director in making presentations to clients and at seminars/conferences
• Deliver presentations to clients and internal committees
Skillset Required-
• Strong understanding of the dynamics of the domestic and global metals sector.
• Strong understanding of global macro-economic factors and impact of the same on global trade dynamics
• Strong analytical skills with good awareness about Indian economy and business environment
• Ability to understand the impact of regulatory, policy and structural changes impacting cement sector
• Ability to structure and write high-quality reports
• Understanding of basic statistical techniques
• Excellent oral communication, presentation and excel skills
• Positive attitude and ability to work across teams within tight deadlines
• Strong written and communication skills – ability to make high quality presentations
• Strong grasp of financial and operational ratios pertaining to different sectors
