About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager – Government Business to lead our government sales vertical. This role involves driving strategic engagement with ministries, PSUs, and public health bodies to secure contracts and partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in government sales within healthcare, healthtech, or medical devices and be adept at managing the end-to-end sales lifecycle in public sector environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute a focused government sales strategy aligned with healthcare objectives.
• Identify, qualify, and convert opportunities with government health departments and agencies.
• Own the complete sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure.
• Track and manage tenders, RFPs, and other procurement opportunities.
• Build strong networks with government stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Ensure regulatory and compliance alignment in all government engagements.
• Lead pricing, contract negotiation, and deal closure with government buyers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to meet government specifications.
• Monitor public health policy trends and funding opportunities.
• Deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline visibility.
Requirements
• 10–15 years’ experience in government sales, preferably in medical devices or healthtech.
• Strong knowledge of government procurement processes and healthcare regulations.
• Proven track record in closing high-value government contracts.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills.
• Well-versed in legal, compliance, and anti-corruption frameworks.
• Willingness to travel across regions for government meetings and engagements.
