Understanding of Agile and DevOps, Data Analytics, Database/Warehouse designing and management,

Certification Requirement, if any: Certified Information Governance Officers Association, Data Governance & Stewardship Professional (DGSP), etc.

Tools knowledge: OneTrust, Oracle Enterprise MetaData management, or any other data governance tool knowledge.

Purpose:

The Data Governance Lead will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the company's data governance strategy, policies, and procedures. The individual will be accountable for ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements, while also ensuring that the company's data is protected and used in an ethical manner.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure the quality, security, and integrity of the company's data

· Act as the primary point of contact for all data governance-related matters and ensure that data governance is integrated into the overall business strategy

· Monitor and report on data governance compliance, identifying and addressing any non-compliant areas

· Work with IT and other departments to ensure data security and protection

· Ensure the company's data is used in an ethical and compliant manner, and that all data-related risks are identified and managed

· Manage the data governance team and provide guidance and support to ensure their effective performance

· Collaborate with external parties and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with data governance regulations

· Continuously review and improve data governance processes and procedures to ensure they are up-to-date and effective

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

· Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in data governance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

· Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, regulations, and best practices

· Experience in implementing and managing data governance policies and procedures

· Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

· Experience with data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA is a plus

· Knowledge about operating environments of both on-premise and cloud is necessary

· Strong understanding of data management and data security practices

· Experience in a related field such as data management, data analytics, or information security is a plus
