Job Description
Pepper Content is building a global content marketplace that brings companies and content creators together to scale up content creation processes across 75+ content verticals and 150+ content categories. Over the past 4.5 years, over 100,000+ freelance content creators have applied to be part of the Pepper network of which we work with the top 5% talent, and on the other end - we work with over 2500+ customers like Amazon, Adobe, Google, HDFC Bank, Adani, and majority of the startup ecosystem.
We are building a global SaaS-enabled marketplace for fast-growth SMB, mid-market and enterprise customers that helps marketers manage all their activities ranging from content creation to workflow management and content distribution. To fuel all this, we have some exciting plans, and we are looking for someone in the capacity of Sr Executive Account Payable to join our business team and build upon these ideas.
At Pepper Content, you will:
• Be part of the accounting and finance function and working on setting up global accounting policies and practices
• Review books periodically and prepare weekly reports on cashflow and P&L
• Being responsible for payouts to all vendors, creators, partners
• Manage budgets and ensure 100% adherence to the same
• Keep working capital requirements in check while managing treasury and other related activities
• Manage cashflow on weekly and monthly basis and add predictability to monthly burn
• Manage all communication of finance team with internal and external stakeholders
• Comply with all compliances including TDS, GST with monthly payments and filing of returns
• Monitor accounting and payables function very closely and work on all queries related to AP function
• Provide data for statutory, external audits
• Ensuring compliance with financial processes, systems and policies
• Tracking direct costs of all freelancers closely and doing periodic reviews of bookings and payments
• Set-up accounting principles and accounting books for US company and manage multiple entities accounting and consolidation
You should apply if:
• Qualified Chartered Accountant or MBA Finance with a minimum of 5+ years of experience
• Experience of 3+ years in accounting, taxation, and reporting
• Experience in Zoho or any other accounting ERP
• Experience in excel, word
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
• Startup experience in venture-backed startups is a big plus (Series A to Series D)
• Have all that it takes to succeed in a startup environment - flexibility, working beyond the call of duty, ability to multitask and deliver under pressure, and a high level of ownership
