Under the supervision of the Director, Operations and Asset Management, the Maintenance Person organizes and participates in the maintenance of the Association’s owned and rented buildings, equipment and property. The Maintenance Worker implements preventive maintenance programs and oversees external maintenance related contracts. Resolves maintenance issues in accordance with established priorities. Assists in the determination of specifications for Request for Proposals (RFP’s) and contracts. Liaises with contractors and inspectors.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma and five (5) years experience relevant to the job responsibilities.
COMPETENCIES:
Effective oral, written and presentation skills.
Possess current certification in First Aid.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs (18 kgs).
Knowledge of Health and Safety (HS) responsibilities, commitment to participate in health and safety activities and attend relevant Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) training.
Possess a valid Class “G” driver’s license as per Driving Requirement Chart.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment and of Microsoft Office Suite.
