Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, proficiency with CNC machinery, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints. This role involves operating various machining equipment to produce precision parts, ensuring quality standards are met, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment. Candidates with experience in CNC programming, SolidWorks, CAD, and blueprint reading will thrive in this position. Responsibilities
Operate CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other machining equipment such as CNC programming tools to produce high-precision components.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
Set up and calibrate machines using hand tools, calipers, and other measurement instruments to ensure accuracy.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot issues related to CNC equipment and manual machines.
Use basic math skills to calculate dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings.
Utilize welding, assembly skills, and power tools as needed for finishing or modifying parts.
Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards and lean manufacturing principles.
Support continuous improvement efforts by suggesting process enhancements and participating in team projects.
Skills
Proven experience with CNC programming and operation of CNC milling machines and CNC lathes.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints accurately.
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks for design review and modifications.
Familiarity with Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems.
Skilled in using hand tools, calipers, power tools, welding equipment, and forklift operation.
Basic math skills for precise measurement and calculations related to machining processes.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes including lean manufacturing principles, assembly techniques, and quality control standards.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
