Machinery Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Machinery Mechanic to support our janitorial cleaning operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing cleaning machinery and related equipment. This role is critical to ensuring our equipment remains safe, functional, and available to support daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, maintain, and repair janitorial and industrial cleaning equipment, including:
Floor scrubbers and sweepers
Burnishers and buffers
Vacuums and extractors
Pressure washers
Washer and Dryer machines
Wet Vac machines
Small motors and battery-powered equipment
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform timely repairs
Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
Replace worn or damaged parts and ensure proper equipment functionality
Maintain maintenance logs and service records
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
Coordinate with supervisors to prioritize equipment needs
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Qualifications
Previous experience as a machinery or equipment mechanic (janitorial, industrial, or facilities equipment preferred)
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of motors, batteries, belts, bearings, and electrical components
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Basic recordkeeping or computer skills preferred
Must be dependable and safety-focused
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work with tools for extended periods
Ability to work in industrial or operational environments
Pay: $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
