Review, verify, and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
Evaluate prescriptions for accuracy, appropriate dosing, drug interactions, allergies, and therapeutic appropriateness
Counsel healthcare professionals regarding medication therapies when appropriate
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and facility staff to optimize patient care
Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians and support staff
Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
Maintain accurate patient medication records and documentation
Participate in quality assurance and medication safety initiatives
Assist with inventory management and controlled substance accountability
Support accreditation standards and company policies
Perform other duties as assigned
Participation in the pharmacy call rotation is required as needed
Staff pharmacists are expected to participate in after-hours, weekend, holiday, and emergency call coverage based on departmental staffing needs

Position Summary
Red River Pharmacy Long Term Care is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Staff Pharmacist to join our growing team. The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications to long-term care residents while providing exceptional pharmaceutical care and maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Review, verify, and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Long Term Care pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency with pharmacy management software and electronic health records is preferred.
