Lead both independent and cross-functional software development engagements to satisfy scope of work. Responsible for the development of software/web applications that support internal processes as well as adding value to software/ applications that support internal and external users. Provide strong analysis and problem solving skills while applying deep industry or domain knowledge to challenges and opportunities. Drive development and documentation of software development services (i.e., software products) with a logistics and supply chain focus and contribute to building and managing content knowledge base. Learn the business to provide functional and operational expertise. Use coding methods in specific programming languages to initiate or enhance program execution and functionality.

Participate in the evaluation, recommendation and selection of hardware and software solutions. Interface with different departments within the organization regarding new deployments. Research and analyze data processing functions, methods and procedures. Analyze data using Microsoft Access, Excel, or other tools. Follow and support test control procedures. Provide on-site and post go-live implementation and support activities.

Follow and assist in the development of standard operating procedures as well as initiate improvement of these processes.

Problem-solving skills and the abilities to analyze quantitatively, scope technical requirements and prioritize program deliverables.

Work as an individual or in a team on tasks that require a high level of problem-solving skills until a resolution is met.

Apply automation to stable, repetitive tasks. Drive innovation and creativity, with a concise, precise and effective approach to problem solving.Develop and maintain SQL queries to pull data from the Data Warehouse. Evaluate opportunities to leverage enterprise reporting/data tools to augment or replace existing reporting.

Skills :

Specific Domain Experience and Knowledge of Supply Chain Planning Optimization and Logistics.
Thorough understanding of software development practices, including requirements gathering and analysis, systems design, development, documentation, testing and integration in an agile environment.

Sound understanding of optimization techniques like linear programming, genetic algorithms, heuristic search techniques, constraint programming.

Sound understanding and demonstrated experience working with Logistics management systems and Software and large-scale software implementations (e.g. SCPO, SCM or ERP) and have a clear vision on iterative development.

Familiar with Front end development in web (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery).

Qualifications :

Have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

Experience :

5-8 years of experience in Logistics management application packages as functional or technical developer with an emphasis on systems development including system design, development, unit test and deployment.
Demonstrated experience working with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008), SQL-Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and developing database-driven .NET/Java applications and Windows or UNIX operating systems. Familiarity with data modeling in relational databases and data communication (ODBC, SOAP, JMS) and Object Oriented Programming.

Experience with Web Services (REST/XML/SOAP/JSON).

Willing to travel when necessary and work effectively on teams in a reliably professional manner. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a team of software developers.
Experience working in a consultant/client environment.
