We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Logistics and Travel Coordinator to streamline travel arrangements and manage logistical operations for our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves coordinating travel plans, booking accommodations, and ensuring smooth transportation logistics to support business objectives. Organization and Planning
Coordinate flights and accommodations for employees and subtrades
Manage travel schedules and rotations
Coordinate site mobilization and demobilization
Track travel costs and budgets
Invoice processing and coding
Liaise with airlines, hotels, and camp providers
Ensure workers meet travel and site access requirements
Communication Skills
Coordinate with:
Project Managers
Site Superintendents
Employees
Subtrades
Airlines
Hotels
Camp operators
Problem Solving
Flight cancellations
Weather delays
Accommodation shortages
Changes to workforce requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Particularly valuable for BDL's northern operations:
Knowledge of northern travel logistics (e.g. Nunavut)
Understanding of camp accommodations
Familiarity with workforce rotation schedules
Knowledge of travel cost control and budgeting
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of logistics, travel coordination, or construction administration experience.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
Experience booking commercial travel.
Ability to work with multiple project teams simultaneously.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Experience in construction, mining, oil & gas, or remote-site operations considered an asset.
