Job Summary:

The Legal and Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company's legal affairs and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This role involves contract management, legal advisory, compliance oversight, team leadership, and developing internal processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in managing legal teams, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Contract Lifecycle Management:Understand business requirements and context from various teams.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring alignment with company objectives and legal standards.
• Manage the entire contract life cycle, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.
• Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:Ensure the company's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Prepare detailed compliance reports and present findings to the Head of Department and senior management.
• Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes and advise on necessary actions.
• Audits, Due Diligences and Compliance Training:Conduct regular internal audits to ensure adherence to compliance policies and regulations.
• Report audit findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and implement training programs to educate teams on compliance requirements, including marketing and data compliance.
• Provide required documentation and support for external audits.
• Assist in due diligence processes for business transactions, mergers, and acquisitions.
• Legal Research and Advisory:Conduct legal research to support business decisions and strategies.
• Advise management and other departments on legal matters, risk assessment, and mitigation.
• Coordinate with external law firms to handle specialized legal tasks.
• Oversee the quality and efficiency of legal services provided by external partners.
• Legal Team Management:Lead, mentor, and manage the internal legal team.
• Develop and implement team strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Create and implement playbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the legal team to ensure consistent and effective legal practices.
• Report on the team's performance and legal department activities.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; a Master's degree or additional legal certifications is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal and compliance roles.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate law, regulatory compliance, and data protection.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Experience managing legal teams and working with external law firms.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills:
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
