• The role involves overseeing all legal and secretarial matters, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing legal risks, and providing strategic legal advice to the Proven experience as a legal counsel or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of legal best practices and regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Membership in the Bar Association in the relevant jurisdiction
• Experience in corporate governance and compliance
• Preferably have worked with any leading Legal Consulting firms or with a start-up.

Job description
Position description: Overseeing corporate secretarial activities, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and contributing to effective governance practices within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Advisory:
Provide legal advice and support to the companys management and business units on a wide range of Fintech legal issues, including corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the companys interests.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure the companys compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines issued by regulatory bodies such as RBI and SEBI.
Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and take appropriate action.
Litigation Management:
Manage and oversee the companys litigation portfolio, including liaising with external legal counsel.
Represent the company in legal proceedings and arbitration.
Corporate Governance:
Assist in the development and implementation of corporate governance policies and procedures.
Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
LLB from a recognized university;
4-5 years of experience in the NBFC/fintech sector is must.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Prior experience is NBFC sector is must,
