Job Description
Legal Expert (Mumbai)
We are looking for Legal Expert who will be responsible for providing its expert opinion in the process of technology assisted investigation and representation of the data before the honorable courts.
Location: Mumbai
Reports to: Governance head
Experience Range: 10-15 yrs
Responsibilities
● Implementing, managing and administering the policies and best practices in the field.
● Assisting the other vertical and horizontal heads to stay Intune with the legal processes
● Design the SOP and procedural workflows to maintain strict guidelines to make the overall process error free.
● Takes care of the day-to-day running of various processes within the TAI Lab
● Help in the prosecution of various Cyber Crime Cases allocated to the unit.
● Prepare the drafting for the answers over expert opinion as directed by the honorable courts.
● Go to the courts for the physical representation when and where required in any of the courts in entire nation.
● Maintaining the project's legal files and ensuring that the working practices are in accordance with its policies and regulations
● Guide management through litigation processes when required
● Ensuring that answers to the court communications are provided on time and updating the stakeholders constantly on the progress on the matter.
● Prepare and develop real life case studies highlighting different scenarios and modus operandi to help the training conducted by the Centre of Excellence.
● Providing legal services in a professional manner and adhering to the professional set of conduct by the Indian Bar Council
● Work closely with the governance head and other vertical and horizontal to curate the best practices and include them in the forthcoming assignments.
● Capacity planning and estimating the requirements of the client and the project
● Develop and maintain strong domain knowledge.
● Stay abreast with new innovations and the latest trends and explore ways of leveraging these for improving the process in alignment with the project.
Qualifications/Skills
● Experience:
○ Graduation in LLB/LLM; preference will be given to graduate/postgraduate of National Law Universities.
○ Having at least 5+ years of post-qualification relevant work in Supreme Court/High Court/ District Court/Corporate.
○ Experience in Prosecution of Cyber Crime Cases and Cases related to Digital Evidence and IPR Infringement Cases.
○ Experience in Civil/Criminal Suites.
○ Experience in Court Trials, Legal Documents writing, Forensic Document Writing/Examine, FIR, and Charge Sheet Assistance.
● Certification
○ An Active certification in Cyber Law shall be desirable.
● Preferable:
○ Comprehensive knowledge of cyber law, cybercrime, digital evidence handling, LEA procedures, data security and privacy practices.
○ Published articles in journals/magazines of repute.
○ In Depth Knowledge on Indian Evidence Act and IT Act.
● Must have skills:
○ Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
○ Legal drafting skills
○ Written and verbal fluency in Marathi/Hindi and English languages.
