We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our team at Cyber CX. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with our General Counsel, Chris Sibree, and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
The role will be based in our Melbourne office and will involve providing legal expertise to support commercial decision making and ensure that all operations of Cyber CX are conducted within acceptable risk parameters.
You will report directly to the General Counsel and will be responsible for:
Providing timely, commercially focused, risk-based legal support to Cyber CX executives and the wider business.
Leading and efficiently negotiating commercial transactions (buy side and sell side).
Developing processes and procedures for the efficient running of Cyber CX's Legal Function.
Harnessing technology to streamline legal outcomes and innovate in delivery of legal services.
Identifying, developing, and implementing legal compliance programs and training for Cyber CX.
Efficiently managing any matters briefed to external lawyers, ensuring value for money.
Staying up-to-date with regulatory developments impacting Cyber CX and proactively identifying areas of potential risk and opportunity.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience across a reputable law firm and/or in-house experience in a corporate/commercial legal area, preferably in an enterprise business (Tech/ICT industry preferred but not essential).
Demonstrated exposure to technology, privacy, IP, data, or commercial legal issues as they relate to drafting, negotiating, and settling contracts (buy side, sell side) in a fast-paced, sales-focused environment.
Commercial acumen and business knowledge.
Proven ability to formulate legal solutions and identify, minimize, and avoid exposure.
Solid stakeholder management, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Well-developed organizational skills and focus, including capacity to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently, work autonomously, and manage time in accordance with strict deadlines.
