Anderson Aylwin Begg Co. Legal Services is a well established and reputable paralegal practice in Oshawa, seeking a confident and experienced Paralegal to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a licensed paralegal who thrives in representing clients at the Landlord and Tenant Board and Small Claims Court.

Position Overview

As a Paralegal, your role will be a blend of front-line client advocacy and internal legal file management. You will:
• Represent clients at hearings before the Landlord and Tenant Board and Small Claims Court
• Manage case files from client intake through to resolution, including drafting pleadings, preparing disclosure, and attending hearings
• Oversee and assist with coordinating the legal team's workflow, ensuring efficient file progression and adherence to deadlines
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff, or support professionals as needed
• Liaise with clients, courts, tribunal staff, and opposing parties in a professional, timely manner

Qualifications
• Licensed Paralegal in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
• 3-4+ years of paralegal experience with a focus on litigation and/or landlord-tenant matter courtroom advocacy
• Proven ability to manage a busy caseload independently
• Comfortable organizing legal tasks, and improving team workflow
• Proven ability to handle scheduling and operational challenges under pressure
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities
• Familiarity with legal practice management software (Clio or PCLaw)
