Recruitment Number OHHI-25008This recruitment is being conducted under the Operation Hire Hawaii (OH-HI) project, a targeted outreach initiative featuring an expedited hiring process, fast-tracking qualified applicants into job opportunities throughout Hawai’i. SALARY: Legal Clerk I: $3,354 to $4,240 per month (SR-10, Step C to I)Legal Clerk II: $3,621 to $4,582 per month (SR-12, Step C to I)Legal Clerk: $3,+17 to $4,+5+ per month (SR-14, Step C to I)Note: Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant's qualifications, and other relevant factors.This continuous recruitment may be closed at any time. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Legal Clerk I: Performs routine clerical work involving preparing, typing, maintaining and processing legal forms, documents and materials; assists with more difficult tasks under closer supervision for the purpose of training; performs other duties as required.Legal Clerk II: Performs a wide variety of legal clerical work in support of attorneys which primarily involve the preparation, processing and filing of moderately difficult legal clerical work, and for carrying out more difficult tasks under supervision and guidance on a progressively responsible basis.Legal Clerk: Independently perform a wide variety of legal clerical work in support of attorneys which primarily involve the preparation, processing and filing of a variety of complex legal and court documents with courts or quasi-judicial bodies; prepare a successive variety of documents for each case which require a variety of specialized procedures for preparation, processing and filing; prioritize assignments in order to complete preparation and processing of legal and court documents for various cases within frequent time constraints and established deadlines; and perform other related duties as assigned.
