Legal Assistant

Bhardwaj+Co is looking for a Family Paralegal to assist our office in providing superior legal support to our clients as the firm continues to grow. Experience in family law and real estate conveyancing will be considered an asset. Additional experience in working with LEAP and Lawyer Done Deal will be considered highly valuable. This opportunity will afford you with the experience and support you need in becoming a well rounded legal professional.

Job Type: Permanent or Part Time

Salary: To be Negotiated

Additional pay: Bonus pay based on a pre-established bonus structure

Responsibilities

Drafting divorce pleadings, joint divorce packages
Opening, closing files filing;
Processing, filing and service of legal documentation;
File management including filing, review and preparation of files for hearings;
Preparation of post hearing reports to clients;

Qualifications
Relevant 1-2 year legal office experience would be an asset;
Experience in real estate conveyancing would be an asset;
Basic understanding of the legal system;
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Adobe;
Exceptional writing and communications skills;
Excellent grammar, spelling and proofreading skills;
Client service orientation;
Professional demeanour, good telephone skills;
