Hi everyone,
We are a collaborative space dedicated to learning and passing on manual skills. Our mission? Making craftsmanship accessible to everyone in a welcoming, inclusive, and sustainable environment.
We believe in learning by doing, sharing expertise, and creating positive impact by supporting the circular economy and handmade creation.
We are looking for passionate craft artisans in leather. Here are the skills you need to lead craft workshops. How to work leather by hand :
- Knowledge of basic leatherworking techniques (cutting, dyeing, hand-stitching, finishing, hardware installation)
- Ability to guide participants through making small leather goods (e.g., card holders, keychains, wallets, belts)
- Proficiency with hand tools such as awls, half-moon knives, hole punches, stitching needles, and edge bevelers
- Understanding of different types of leather and their characteristics (vegetable-tanned, chrome-tanned, thicknesses, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship (clean cuts, even stitches, polished edges)
- Awareness of safety practices when using sharp tools and equipment
