Weβre Hiring: Lead QA Automation Engineer - Quality Engineering
π Location: Trivandrum
πΌ Experience: 9β12 Years
This is not a traditional QA leadership role.
Weβre looking for a Lead QA Automation Engineer who thinks like a software engineer and is passionate about building quality into mission-critical banking software from the ground up.
In this role, youβll shape automation architecture, continuous testing, and quality engineering practices for enterprise SaaS platforms operating in complex, regulated environments.
π― The Mission
Move quality upstream β using engineering, automation, data, and intelligent tooling to prevent defects rather than simply detect them.
π§ What Youβll Do
β’ Define automation and Quality Engineering strategy for complex enterprise banking solutions
β’ Architect scalable automation frameworks across APIs, backend services, integrations, and E2E workflows
β’ Embed automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines
β’ Lead API, database, event-driven, and integration testing
β’ Establish meaningful engineering metrics around quality, risk, and reliability
β’ Drive intelligent automation and continuous testing
β’ Partner closely with Engineering, Product, Architecture, and Customer Enablement
β’ Mentor engineers and conduct technical/code reviews
β’ Improve performance, resilience, scalability, and reliability testing
β’ Evaluate emerging AI-enabled Quality Engineering approaches that deliver measurable outcomes
π§ What Weβre Looking For
Weβre looking for professionals with 9β12 years of experience in software quality/engineering, with deep automation expertise and a proven track record of building automation frameworksβnot simply operating them.
Strong experience across:
β’ Selenium / Playwright / Cypress or comparable frameworks
β’ API Automation / REST Assured / Postman
β’ SQL, backend and data validation
β’ CI/CD and continuous testing
β’ Azure DevOps / Jenkins / GitHub Actions
β’ Performance engineering
β’ Kafka and event-driven architectures
β’ Cloud-native applications, ideally Azure / Kubernetes
π¦ Banking & Consulting Experience
We are particularly interested in candidates with exposure to banking transformation and financial services technology.
Preferred candidates will have:
β’ Experience working within dedicated Banking / Financial Services transformation practices
β’ Relevant implementation, technology consulting, or transformation experience within banking
β’ Experience delivering technology solutions for complex, regulated financial institutions
β’ Strong understanding of banking platforms, enterprise integrations, and transformation programs
πΌ Preferred Consulting Background
For this technology role, we will prioritize candidates from Big 4 consulting firms, including:
Deloitte, EY, PwC, and KPMG
We will also consider candidates from other leading consulting firms and large system integrators with strong banking and financial services transformation practices.
π Education
β’ Graduates from Tier-1 or Tier-2 institutions in India
β’ Strong foundation in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related engineering disciplines
β’ Evidence of strong engineering fundamentals and sustained technical performance is preferred
