Role and Responsibilities:

As a Lead Preschool Teacher at Primrose School, you will guide and support preschool-aged children in their journey of learning and discovery. You will implement the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum and ensure a safe, nurturing environment that promotes each child’s development. As the lead teacher, you will manage classroom activities, oversee the daily schedule, and mentor assistant teachers.
• Plan and implement daily lesson plans in line with the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum.
• Supervise and guide preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being.
• Create a classroom environment that is safe, organized, and inviting, fostering a love of learning.
• Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Observe, assess, and document each child's development and communicate progress with parents.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
• Manage classroom behavior and implement positive guidance techniques.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and other professional development opportunities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in compliance with local regulations and company policies.

Required Skills and Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 1 year in a lead teaching role.
• Understanding of and experience implementing early childhood education curricula, particularly in preschool settings.
• Strong classroom management and behavioral guidance skills.
• Passion for working with young children and helping them reach their full potential.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs., as required in managing classroom activities and children’s needs.
• Must meet the basic requirements of the local childcare regulatory agency.
• Clear and effective communication skills with children, parents, and staff.
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate activities and lesson plans.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Previous experience in a licensed early childhood setting, preferably in a lead teaching role.
• Strong knowledge of child development and early childhood education principles.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators.
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
