Lead Oracle RAC Database Administration Jade Global

The position requires a hands-on ORACLE RAC database technologist with both database administration and database development experience. Also required is advanced expertise in performance tuning activities. Good written & verbal communication skills are needed to work with various project teams. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, able to drive tasks to completion independently, and able to learn new skills on the job as project requirements expand.

We are looking to hire a talented Oracle database (RAC) administrator to manage and upgrade Oracle database system. Handson experience on installation , upgrade and maintain the database software, create storage structures, set up user accounts, debug malfunctioning programs, create backups, and regularly maintain the database security.To ensure success as an Oracle database administrator, have extensive experience with DBA front-end and back-end tools, excellent problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience with Oracle database management. Ultimately, a top-level Oracle DBA can expertly manage a company’s database system to maximize performance and efficiency.

Required Skills:
• 10 + years of experience with Oracle Database Administration with experience in implementation, maintain Oracle databases across multiple platforms
• Strong practical experience of ORACLE in a production RAC (ASM) 12c and 1+c
• Atleast 2 upgrdae projects of oracle database with RAC setup
• Strong Oracle Performance and Tuning skills
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
• In-Depth understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery requirements and solutions
• In-Depth understanding of Oracle RAC (12c and 1+c), Oracle Data Guard & Data Guard Broker
• Database and application server internals
• Advanced troubleshooting techniques in support of 24x7 On-call duties
• Experience with VLDB (very large database) environments
• Strong SQL skills including the ability to rewrite complex queries to improve performance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and work with onshore and offshore teams Skills Desired
• ORACLE 11g ,12c and 1+c
• UNIX and shell scripting skills
• Experience in a programming language is a plus
• Good communication skills, strong Teamwork and organization skills

• Design and implement an optimal Oracle Database configuration to maximize system performance and availability.
• Assist in planning and implementing capacity and resource expansion to ensure scalability of company databases
• Maintain support tools such as OEM as well as develop and maintain supporting documentation.
• Maintain Oracle Database performance by planning and executing Oracle Database tuning strategies.
• Participates and supports SLA and operational performance monitoring and reporting
• Implements effective Risk Management controls, owns adherence to all compliance related items (exceptions, waivers, risks, technical compliance, access control)
• Plans and participates in Disaster Recovery exercises, system failover planning and testing
• Participates and supports effective operational document management practices and controls improvements, incident reduction and performance enhancement
• Participate in agile process and analyze user requirements and, based on findings, design functional specifications for databases following database standards
• Identify inefficiencies in current databases and implement improved solutions
• Provide technical documentation, automation scripting, installation, monitoring, and trouble-shooting across a large enterprise environment
