Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This is a key managerial role responsible for overseeing the design, prototyping, production, and manufacturing processes of our mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and lead a team of mechanical engineers and designers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
• Oversee the design, prototyping, production, and manufacturing of mechanical systems and components for various motor applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
• Develop and implement engineering best practices, standards, and processes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Ensure project timelines and budgets are met, and effectively communicate project status to senior management.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and automotive technology, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation within the team.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges in the design and development process.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• 6 months to 1 year of managerial or leadership experience.
• Proven experience in designing, prototyping, producing, and manufacturing mechanical systems, preferably in the automotive or related industry.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
• Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
