Role Description
Role Proficiency:
• Looking for a talented SQL/Snowflake Developer to design, develop, and maintain database solutions for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL development and experience working with Snowflake, a cloud-based data warehousing platform. The SQL/Snowflake Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and implement efficient and scalable database solutions. Responsibilities: 1. Design and develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support business applications and reporting needs. 2. Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications. 3. Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Snowflake. 4. Optimize database performance by tuning SQL queries, indexing strategies, and partitioning techniques. 5. Implement data security and access controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. 6. Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to support analytics and machine learning initiatives. 7. Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging activities to ensure the quality and reliability of database solutions. 8. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve database-related issues in production environments. +. Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in SQL and cloud data warehousing to drive continuous improvement and innovation. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 2. Proven experience as a SQL developer with strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions. 3. Hands-on experience with Snowflake or other cloud-based data warehousing platforms. 4. Familiarity with data modeling concepts and techniques, including dimensional modeling and star schema design. 5. Experience with ETL tools and processes for data integration and transformation. 6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and debug database issues. 7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. 8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. +. Relevant certifications in SQL and cloud technologies (e.g., Snowflake Certified SnowPro Core) are a plus.
