Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Lead Hand to join our team, focusing on renovation projects. This role involves working closely with the Project Manager to manage the site, coordinate with sub-trades, and oversee a team of 2-6 people. The Lead Hand will maintain schedules, document manpower, and handle site logistics including opening and closing gates.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with the Project Manager and sub-trades.
• Manage a team of 2-6 people on-site.
• Maintain project schedules and manpower records.
• Handle site logistics such as opening and closing gates.
• Complete Procore documentation and daily logs.
Essential Skills
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a foreman.
• Experience in civil, seismic upgrades, and building envelope projects.
• Comfortable performing hands-on labor work.
• Level 1 First Aid certification.
• Possession of a vehicle.
Additional Skills Qualifications
• Red Seal certification is an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret contract drawings and specifications.
• Experience in tenant improvement and carpentry.
• Proficiency with power tools and construction techniques.

Work Environment
The role involves 8-hour workdays with the possibility of overtime. Projects may include working outdoors in various weather conditions. Start times and locations can vary, such as the VCC project from 10am to 6pm or the KPU Langley project from 7:30am to 4pm. The role requires adaptability to different work environments and conditions.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $83200.00/yr.
