Job Description
Title: Full Stack Lead Engineer (OTT)
Type: Permanent
Region: Mumbai
Location: Hybrid
About the Role:
This role is for a Full stack Developer and will suit an independent, collaborative, and experienced team member with a background in (or an interest in) the Video/OTT industry, and a natural eye for excellent web and mobile UI/UX. You will be a natural leader that enjoys mentoring and training junior developers, be comfortable taking the lead and making decisions, be a natural, creative thinker, and possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Responsibilities:
• Design and build new features for a cloud-based OTT platform
• Resolve issues, taking care of continuous integration and deployment
• Constantly improve aspects of delivery
• Take ownership of technical architecture, coding, and development standards
• Take the lead in Sprint Planning and Retrospective sessions, and work closely with the Design teams
• Ensure a strong focus is applied to Testing, by creating bespoke tools, frameworks, data-driven approaches, and A/B testing
• Work closely with the product management team to produce accurate estimates and clarification
• Ensure the production of design artifacts, as well as the creation of accurate documentation
Required Experience:
• At least 7+ Years of experience in full stack development with C# expertise
• Experience in the .NET Framework / .NET Core
• Experience with either Angular (6) and/or React knowledge for Front-End Development
• Ability to write clean, effective, and maintainable code, covered by functional or unit tests
• Knowledge of OOP principles (Design Patterns, SOLID, DRY, YAGNI)
• Knowledge of Event Sourcing and CQRS
• Knowledge of SQL server and Entity Framework
• Knowledge of MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Docker Kubernetes as hosting infrastructure
• Strong knowledge on GIT repositories and workflows (Git Flow)
• Expertise with network protocols programming
• Deep understanding of cloud technologies and hands-on experience in at least one cloud platform (Azure is preferable - AKS)
• Good experience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery environments)
• Expertise in designing, building, maintaining distributed applications
• Knowledge of scalability and performance challenges of server-side code
