Job Description
• Industrial Communication Protocols: Expect deep-dive questions on IEC 60870, IEC 61850 (specifically for substation/hydro automation), and MODBUS architectures.
• Networking & Infrastructure: You need to show you can configure Layer 2/3 Ethernet switches, set up industrial routers, and implement firewalls.
• Power Industry Cyber Security: Knowledge of frameworks like IEC 62443 or NERC CIP is critical, as the JD explicitly highlights cybersecurity standards for control systems in the power industry.
• System Modeling & Commissioning: You will be expected to validate control strategies via simulation tools before heading to the field to lead physical commissioning teams at site.
