Designation : Lead Engineer

Reporting to : Project Lead

Location : Bangalore, Full Time Qualification : B.E./B.Tech./M.E/M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering Experience : 6 - 10 Years (Min 2 years of experience in leading teams and projects)

Position Overview: This is a team leader role who will manage the projects and people, while being responsible for his/her own deliverables for Fontaine Specialized (https://www.fontainespecialized.com). The role is 80% individual contributor and 20% team leader. As a Lead Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for engineering activities such as detailed design, analytical calculations, Tolerance stack ups, creating manufacturing drawings, review FEA reports, support product Roll-out activities, review complex designs/drawings for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to established Engineering Standards and practices pertaining to Heavy Haul and Specialized Trailers. In addition, you need to understand design intent, suggest Welds and apply GDT as per ANSI standards. You will drive collaboration with cross-functional teams, leverage technical strategy and best practices, and lead the successful execution of projects. Key Responsibilities / Functions:

• Execute/lead sustaining engineering projects that comprises of Designing, drawing creation, BOM restructuring and product Roll-out activities

• Create 3d models and engineering drawings pertaining to Trailers in NX CAD software

• Review designs, 3D models and drawings that represent the product in terms of its fit, form and function

• Participate in design reviews as a functional expert and provide technical expertise to product development programs

• Drive VAVE implementation through design and modularization of components in a product line based on analysis of a commodity category or supplier strategy

• Identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot technical issues, and propose and implement design modifications of existing product lines

• Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure project goals are met

• Stay up to date with emerging research and technology breakthroughs through white paper and industry research for sheet metal forming, welding, and casting processes

• Actively participate in continuous learning and professional development activities, including attending training programs, workshops, and conferences
