Job Title: Lead Data Engineer
This is an exciting opportunity for a lead data engineer to join our team and design future-state modern data architecture for transformation at the enterprise level using advanced cloud architectural principles.
The ideal candidate will have experience with cutting-edge DevOps technologies, developing advanced analytics products, and applying data and statistical programming tools to enterprise data to advance key mission outcomes within cloud environments.
Main Responsibilities:
• Design and implement modern data architecture for transformation at the enterprise level
• Work with cutting-edge DevOps technologies to develop advanced analytics products
• Apply data and statistical programming tools to enterprise data
• Collaborate with product and application teams to deliver production data pipelines
Requirements:
• Professional services experience
• Cloud provider certification
• Proficiency in Python, Advanced SQL, and cloud-native data stores (Redshift, Athena, BigQuery, Synapse, Snowflake)
• Experience with cloud storage (S3, GCS, Azure Blob Storage), modern warehousing and data lake patterns, Airflow or other orchestration tools, and cloud-native query engines
• Strong understanding of security networking basics, serverless cloud functions, and visualization reporting
Preferred Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience building, scaling, and optimizing data pipelines
• 3+ years of experience developing and deploying solutions in one or more public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• 5+ years of professional experience in data wrangling in relational databases using SQL
• 5+ years of experience with object-oriented programming design best practices and source control (git)
Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is often required. Certifications for database management, data analysis, or specific technologies relevant to the role can enhance a candidate's qualifications.
