About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lawyer (1–3 years PQE) to join our highly regarded Commercial – Corporate & Private Clients team.
Working closely with Partner Julia Tonkin, this role will focus on wills, estates and probate (including litigation), supporting a diverse client base including high net worth individuals and families, as well as privately owned businesses.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a contemporary, collaborative team and build your expertise in a practice that requires both technical excellence and strong interpersonal skills.
Key responsibilities include:
Drafting a range of estate planning and succession documents, including wills, powers of attorney, guardianship documents and probate applications
Assisting with estate administration and related legal matters
Assisting with litigation matters
Advising clients on wills, estates and succession planning in a clear and practical manner
Supporting the management of client relationships, with a strong focus on service and responsiveness
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
1–3 years’ post-qualification experience in wills, estates and succession planning within a reputable law firm
Litigation experience in the wills and estates space is preferred but not essential
Well-developed drafting skills and strong attention to detail
A sound understanding of trusts, superannuation, corporations law and company structures, and how these intersect with estate and succession planning
A high level of emotional intelligence, with the ability to communicate sensitively and build trust with clients
Strong analytical thinking and the ability to provide clear, practical advice
